I put the new style unit on my 41 H. It had the old flat style on it when I bought it, and the shaft was all chewed up. If you can get the whole humped back style unit it will bolt right in. Good idea to change oil seals and check bearing while you have it out. Good luck! Its not hard just takes some time to line up the shaft inside. While I had mine out I cleaned all the gunk that settled in the rear end (less than I had figured) Also it had NO water in the lube and it set out most of it life. Some things still amaze me..
