The trip is as wide as the arms, that is.. I'm guessing just about 3 ft. Just has a lever to make it dump and let gravity to the work. The hydrolic bucket is oh, 6-7 ft wide and uses hydrolics to dump. The two have different style buckets all together. Here's some rough pictures of the two types.. Hope I've been of some help.
