H Hydraulics and a Saginaw Hitch

Recently attached a used Saginaw 3pt to my '50 H. The H has two way hydraulics but the hitch was only set up for one way so the cylinders have vents. The cylinders hoses are tee'd together. The hitch lifts nearly six hundred pounds easily but on the way down foamy oil blows out the pumps vent cap. The pump has 6 qts of fresh 30W non-detergent. I am wondering if installing return lines will solve the problem
