I think there is an element of jealousy - how can a man be that happy over material things? Women need a hobby, not just an activity like shopping. Now if they were only shopping for another tractor........ Speaking of that, a friend of mine bought a Super A. It ended up needing a little more work than he reckoned. While he was away from the spread in Michigan, working most of the winter in the Northeast, his wife bought him a restored Super H for Christmas. Now there's a woman that will make a man jealous!

Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub. My Papaw raised "baccer" (tobacco) and corn with the Super A, but the fondest memory was of the sawmill.
