Steve: A bad head gasket can blow into coolant. This series has had comments about being hard to get good seal on head. Use factory IHCase gasket for best results. A quick\cheap test is a compression test which may help proove what the problem might be. A leaking head gasket is not the worst thing but still something you didn/t count on. The govenor hunting may need new springs and adjusting. Did you order manuals? Good luck. G.
