SC-wobbly PTO shaft/trans-clicking???

When I bot SC heard "clicking" coming from trans/axle housing when warm. Guy claimed tractor had been doin it since he had it (4 years). Have used it for awhile and doesn't seem any worse. Am getting ready to buy a posthole digger (Danuser-any body know if they are really better than the low priced outfits?), but, dealer (MF) says clicking is possibly a bearing which could go out with any pressure. Since the PTO shaft is a bit wobbly I thought it was probably a bent shaft only. Anybody have any ideas on this? (I havn't pulled the seat/upper housing plate etc to actually eyeball the thing....yet). Thanks for your thoughts on this guys (or ladies for that matter). John
