Steven, There are two different length valves for the H depending on the head being High altitude or not. When I had my head reworked, there was a delay because the parts guy ordered the wrong length. Fortunately for me, the machine shop guy caught it before he put the new valves in, and we just had to wait for the replacements. I don't know what will happen when you run it for a while, but I have seen a few now with the longer valves installed, and big nuts shimming the rocker arm to be able to get adjustment, and they ran them that way for who knows how long.
