I have a 756 that has two batteries. I believe each is 12 volt, pairing them together making it 24 volt. My battery hasn't been holding a charge, so I put a volt meter tester on the battery and it showed 25 volts (DC). (I had the positive cable off one of the batteries, only the ground was connected.) I had my 12volt charger on the battery set for trickle charge. I came out in the morning and it melted the cable off my charger. Could these batteries be 24 volt each? If not why it did it melt my cable, since both the positve and negative cables were off the battery so they weren't pairing together. I didn't think they made such a thing, but I can't figure it out. Thanks
