With the engine running, short across the two startergenerator terminals momentarily and see if you have sparks/fire. If you have sparks/fire then your regulator is probably bad and replacing the regulator should solve your problem. If you do not get sparks/fire across the two startergenerator posts then your startergenerator is bad and you will have to get it rebuilt by a alternator/generator shop.
