Distributer cap on Super M

Last fall my grandfather and uncle took the distributer cap off my Super M (needing other work) to replace a worn out M cap. I have a brand new cap, and as I stared at it tonight, how do I put the new cap on along with the wires so the timing is all right? Holy crap, this is the most confusing thing I've ever done on a tractor. Thanks for the input.
