There should be instructions with your gasket. My Fel-Pro headgasket says right on the gasket "sealant and retorque required" and then "this side up" If it doesn't say on the gasket there should be a paper in with your gasket or kit that tells what to do. I'm going to use some spray junk that is red and really sticky.

If you can't find anything with your stuff, contact the dealer you got the gasket from - if they don't know, never do business there again.
