To run a loader in such a manner as to lift 2000 pounds would take a lot of power. A belt would simply slip while the chain will not. He said that when lifting a heavy load it will pull the engine down somewhat. One thing I should have mentioned is that this tractor probably never sees more than 1/2 throttle usage anymore.

A belt would work fine for normal hydralic purposes.
