Warm it up good (work it for 45 min)and check the oil pressure at idle. If the instrument panel pressure meter reads one third from the left of the guage then you're good to go. Often the diesel engines cam, main and balancer wear at about 4 k hours to the extent that it affects oil pressure when warm. This is a must. If the guage is out put a store bought guage on it. and I'll repost with the required specs. Check the wiring harness. If the botttom of the tool box is rusted out it's been setting out most its life. Put something on the 3 pt and check for full lift. Listen to the transmission in all gears. If the emergency break works someone just fixed it or it was well taken care of! That's about it for now. Ray
