the coil i bought was for the mag.....but since then i have got the mag to fire by taking it apart and replacing the wire from the condenser to the points. it was melted to the wall inside the mag. the spark looks weak but it is a blue spark. My problem now is timing it. i am not getting any fire from the dist cap to the plugs. all of the dist parts are new. I.E the condenser, rotor, dist cap, plugs, wires, and points.
