IH part number system was 8060D was original design, any small change would be 8060DA-B-C, any major change would be a different part number, this head subbed to 8574DCX, on Super M and correct replacement for M gasoline. 8574DCX was assembly, X represented that. If you wanted the whole story about IH system it would take a lot more space than we have here.
