'50 H Front End Fix-Another Question

Many thanks to all those who responded to my earlier post. All your information should prove very helpful.

Now the question(s): I contacted my local Case-IH dealer about the parts I'll be needing. They had everything in stock, except the bolster felt washer & retainer. Should I attempt the job without those two parts in hand (should take about a week for them to arrive). Is it possible to recycle the old ones?

Also, how did you go about removing the old bushings? I'm sure that part of the job will be no fun, so any tips would be appreciated.
