My Good Friday project was moving the temp. gauge pickup on my F-20. I drained it down and drilled and tapped a 1/2" NPT hole in the upper water elbow just below the hose connection. Put it all back together with new antifreeze and it works great. The gauge stabilizes at the L in COLD at 40 degree ambient, which is lower than I would like to see, but at least now I have a real idea of the engine temp. instead of the gauge laying on the left hand stop, which is what it does with the sensor in the lower elbow. The hoses and radiator feel about as warm as they normally get, which is about as hot as you can stand to touch for several seconds. It will be interesting to see how high it reads this summer. -- Brian
