When I restored my A a few years ago we had a lot of trouble getting that pully off. Fiddled around with it all morning and eventually managed to break a tab off the pully. Took it over to the local Case/IH dealer and those guys had that thing off in two shakes. They put a flat puller coller behind it, then a two jaw puller on that, and a clamp around that, "so it doesn't break loose and kill somebody." They had the tab we broke off brazed back on. To get it back on I heated the pully up on the stove (an electric burner) then slapped it on using a block of wood. Took a couple of tries but I eventually got it back on with out too much effort. Now I have a pair of those collars (a big one and a small one) in my tool box and use them pretty often. And the tractor still runs great! Good luck!
