It all dependes on the turbo some are louder then others a lot has changed over the years and in the future. Fifteen years ago who would have thought that you could 340 Hp out of 359 cu. in. and make it live for over 250000 miles??? . Thirty years ago we were happy to get 110000 miles out of a 318 detroit if it made it that far. or turbo a D361 and get 15000 hours on it .
