well yes and no. hows that for an answer :) small baler, no thrower, no trailing wagon, not too heavy hay, no slugs...sure. no because in the real world there are too many variables in the hay, ground, etc. also if you stop frequently, the C only has a tranny pto, so clutching loses power to the pto when you need it most on a slug you're stoppin for. my reccomendation for a baling tractor is this: at least a 300 with the live pto. if you go with a thrower, wagon, and or varied ground go with at least an smta/400. otehr tractors with live or continuous pto capabilities would work too. 30 minimum, 40 recoommended. a few other colors come to mind ;) but not that one green :p otherwise find a baler with it's own motor, or see if a neighbor would be willing to accomodate you. my family used to make hay with the c, with balers that had their own motors. it handled the loaded wagon too.. fairly flat land...i think they used the H more though. not sure have to ask when i'm home again. good luck
