All I know about these tractors is what I learned from a British immigrant farmer who was my neighbor during 70s, and they have been mentioned a few times on this forum as well as Red Power forum. In fact I saw something about these on Red Power forum this am. As far as starting, from what you say, I think I would change oil all filters put in fresh fuel and try it. If that doesn't work I would tow it with a tractor heavy enough to turn engine continuous for 3-4 minutes. I have found those vintage of British IH diesels. You turn the engine until its warm,it will start. Most batteries won't do that.
