Yes, I think you've got it. Sounds like your friend's tractor is connected the same way. All fluid from pump into priority valve. Excess flow port feeds both Lift-all and flow control valve through a tee. "T" port on priority valve and return from steering motor both go to tank. The large line to your pump is suction and is essentially "tank", but you might consider connecting both to your Lift-all filler via a tee to insure no air is sucked into the pump. I am still a little concerned about your comment that the power steering worked briefly while the Lift-all rod was back and then locked-up. This causes me to suspect pressure on both sides of the power steering motor. Check that both return from power steering motor and "T" port on priority valve are open and not blocked under any circumstance. Fluid must flow from these connections unimpeded. If in doubt, temorarily stick them in the filler neck to test system function. Good luck.
