The 560 diesel engine was a D282. The 450 is the same as a 400 with white paint. And I quote from Ken Updike's book "International Harvester Tractors 1955-1985" "Basically the tractors remained unchanged, except that all models now sported a two-color paint scheme of IH red with a white grille and white hood panel area... The model 450 was basically unchanged from the prior model 400. The optional factory-installed power steering system was a choice that few farmers opted for. The basica drivetrain and options were similiar to the 400. One new option was the choice of power-adjusted rear wheels..." Tractortips.com shows the 400 to have 51 horsepower and the 450 to have 49 horsepower. This information may be wrong, but you can't blame me for repeating what I learned from reputable sources.
