Could be a number of things but check all minor ones to eliminate them. How about the fan oil slinger being gummed up or frozen? Stick a long screw driver tip on the tightening nut of the fan and listen at the other end of the screw driver. Was the fan assembly rebuilt/replaced? Not saying that it is not what you suspect just pointing out there are a lot of items up there that could be making "Klacking" sounds.//FB
