I support your changing to 12 volts, I might do that with my H also if I ever have to use it at night (6v lights are rather dim).

See Bob M's wiring diagrams for extra info on getting your tractor to 12 volt. Bob M's diagrams are irreplacable when it comes to wiring an old Farmall. Look at the index pic first and then choose the H or M alternator conversion. I think the alternator most people use is the internally regulated Delco 10SI.
