sod, and all: Northeast Missouri, and I'm itchy to take the layer of winter straw off my 'berry patch. Bluebirds have been moving into the nesting boxes for a couple of weeks now,... and a momma squirrel hasn't come out of her's for just about that long: surely has a litter of pups,... hollyhocks are starting to grow, the hardware store is selling lawn fertilizer, the CaseIH shop is full of late winter repair jobs, redwing blackbirds are nesting by the pond, and it's time to find a buyer for this summer's hay.
