The original color scheme was red wheels, red fan assembly(blades, hub and pulley) and gray on every thing else. After June 5,1930, the drawbars were painted red. I've been told that IHC gray was a charcoal colar with a slightly blue tint and have seen Dupont 27625 given as a match. I gave that number to my NAPA dealer a few years ago to get a sample mixed and he had two Martin-Senour formulas that crossed to it, 99L-8711(Blue) and 99L-8121(Charcoal Blue). I had both of them mixed and compared them to a NOS part that had perfect original paint on it and the 99L-8711 came closest to matching. However, a long time IH dealer told me that IHC used Ditzler as a supplier for paints on their tractors and gave me the formula for gray which I had mixed at a PPG-Ditzler dealer. It was a dead ringer for the NOS part that I had and I liked it the best. Let me know if you want the Ditzler formula and I'll post it. I'll need to do some digging to find it.

The answer to our needs materialized in the form of a '44 Farmall A, complete with cultivators, discs, single plow, a 5ft.Woods belly mower and one, mounted spare 9.00x24 rear wheel. ...
