You are right in that the later 656 had International in big letters on the hood and Farmall in small letters over the number but they were still Farmalls. The Internationals of that time had International on the hood and nothing but 656 on the number. Same with 756, 856, etc. but as stated the Farmall name still applied and the configuration of the tractor was definitely different between Farmalls and Internationals. Actually you could say all later Farmalls were International Farmalls just like all early Farmalls were actually McCormick Farmalls or McCormick Deering Farmalls whereas later wheel/utility/standard type tractors were International Internationals whereas early were McCormick McCormicks etc. Harold H
