Sometimes a thin sawblade like a coping saw blade can be inserted with the teeth down and facing you,so when it is pulled out the blade will dig into the key stub and slide it out.Or a piece of sticky beeswax rolled into a pointy cone ,then touch the beeswax to the piece of key sometimes will pull it out if it's not binding.A pair of tweezers,ground to a sharp point work well also. These are old jeweler tricks,as I am an old(former)jeweler BillJ
