I thought it was time for a post that would not cause controversy. With the warm weather fast approaching i'm getting geared up for reassembly of my H. Engine is built and still on a stand. I ended up having to have the crank turned down. .010" mains and .020" at the rod journals. The guy at the machine shop said it looked as though something had happened in there at one time. Then when I was cleaning pushtubes I found a bent one. Yep, something had happened! Don't know what. tonite I pulled the l/h brake housing off. Needs new bands and the shaft seals. Both sides were leaking pretty bad. Still haven't decided on paint but that'll come. I got another leak which appears to be coming from the lift-all shaft at the trans housing. That one may get fixed after things are running. I'm going to be attending my 1st Red Power Round-Up this summer and think it'll be a very good time. Gonna spend 2 days there. How are you guys coming on your tractors? I wonder if this post will get as many responses as the "chain jerker" did earlier?
