After your comments, I dug out some old IH sales literature. The first one is a pocket size book on tractors, loaders and tillage equipment, no date on it. It must be 74-75, it has 66 series tractors, white cabs are gone, no black stripe yet. It lists plows 510, 710, 720,semi-mounts and 800 flex-frame 700 and 770 trailing plows. From the picture that 770 is the same plow as the 70 and is listed as a 5 or 6 x 16 only. I also have a 1983 buyers guide which lists all the same plows plus the 730 and 735 semi-mount plows. Remember, I live in Canada and the availability in some years on some items was different from US. I seem to remember this discussion another time and place. I have a feeling that 770 plow was only available in Canada.
