I would say a diesel will be more costly to work on, and for parts. If you try to get it unstuck in a careful manner, maybe be worth it. I dont think I would want to go over $500 maximum for it, and probably less, depending on the good and bad points about it. I think it would be a neat challenge to get it to run, but I would want to ask about getting it unstuck with some experienced guys who know what they are doing. I have an interest in a Super M TA for the very same thing, and would like input too about price to pay for a complete Farmall like that, with stuck engine...............good luck to ya !!
