Ron - To make this comparison you need to look at the cranking amps rating on each battery, then do some simple math:

For batteries in parallel, ADD the cranking amps for each battery to figure the total amps available for cranking.

But for batteries in series, the cranking amps of the combination equals cranking amps of any ONE battery.
