1086 reverse idler?

My 1086 makes a mild rotational clunk when backing up. I have been told that this is the result of a former owner shifting into park before the tractor was stopped. It worhs fine and really does not sound all that bad. I have also been told not to worry about it. Some have said it could easily be repaired when the torque amp is replaced and others say the tranny has to be further dissasembled. Thank you in advance for any imput/advice/ information.
