I have a Carter Carb on my Super C, and the float has a mind of its own. i have been through that thing a dozen times, and sometimes it seals, and other times it doesn't. sometimes a good rap on the bowl will jar the float loose so that it will shut off. if it runs good i wouldn't worry about it.
