Got my R front wheel (wide front) stuck in a ditch yesterday and broke several several steel bars. Broke: two stabalizer bars under tractor attaching to pedestal and front rod that connects both wheels together. I have an old wide front before they but that piece behind the front axel. Now I know why IH put it behind the front axel! I think I should replace the broken peices with new steel (have it fabricated) rather than searching for older pieces. I say this because I think the new steel is actually stronger than steel from 1947. Any thoughts?
