My uncle and I dug down a good 3 feet with his M and loader in HEAVY wet soil... Worked pretty good, but you have kind of a rough bottom, and a gradual slope... Once you start diggin down though, it gets easier. Gotta get used to feathering the loader otherwise you'll just end up up to the axle housings in clay/mud/sand or what have you. I am 15 years old and can do it now no problem.. Took me about 15 min to get the hang of it. Good luck!
