I have an M with this setup driving a du-all loader. It is a little slow, especially this week when I want to move our wonderful new snow around. After about a half hour, it warms up and does all right. I don't know what the thing will lift, but more than I want if I need to steer the tractor. I don't think the M has enough strength in the front wheels to go bouncing over frozen cow turds with a big round bale hanging out the front end. I sure like the live power though. No trouble yet with the gear or pump.
