Not really a bolt expert, but I don't think the fine versus coarse threads is too much of a concern. Fine threads can take a little more torque and stress, I think because the threads take less of the bolt and therefore there is more bolt metal to take stress than with the coarse threads. I do think the grade 2 bolt is more of a problem. I would not use less than a grade 5 for the rim bolts. Grade 2 is something like 1/2 the strength of a grade 5. Did you ever get Redrev's M clutch fixed for him???
