560 uses the mechanical TA. 706 uses the hydraulic TA. Totally different setups. On the 706 you need to split it twice(like the 560). Then pull the MCV valve and pump out. Pull out the 3 oil transfer tubes. Pull off your speed trans shifting forks, then you should be able to get the speed gears out. Take the nut off of the bottom counter shaft and drive the shaft out and remove the gears. Unbolt the TA from the front of the housing(and I believe the rear also). Then drive the TA out. I'm thinking that I'm forgetting a couple of small things, but others should be able to point them out.
