300U Hyd. Pump - One Size Fits All???

I have a 1955 300U that sounds like the hydraulic pump (mounted on right side of engine with distributor attached) is going to fail one of these days (sounds kinda like a metal-on-metal "swarm of bees" in there every so often). I found a used one for sale that supposedly came off a '55 300U, but the part number on it is totally different than the number shown in my parts book. But then again, the pump on my tractor has a totally different number too. (Maybe they are both after-market?) My question is whether only one type of hydraulic pump bolts up to all 300Us or whether I could buy one from another 300U that doesn't fit mine, or that has a different gpm or otherwise won't work. My tractor has triple outlets (for hydraulic loader & Fast-Hitch) and power steering. Thanks for your thoughts. Bob
