Funny thing you bring that up. If you were to talk to my local machine shops (3 of them) they all say the same thing: heads on H's and M's are always cracked! Yeah, they probably are, but does it cause any problems? I doubt it. Our M was running for several years just fine until a valve burned off and we took the head of to get that fixed and a new seat put in and OH NO! The head was cracked! And it had probably run that way for 20 years! Guess what else? My H head is cracked too! And I'm going to put it together that way and it will probably run another 50 years with it cracked. Sorry to rant, just disappointed in the local shops right now.

Anyways, as long as you aren't getting white smoke I wouldn't worry.
