Don't mind the novel Keith, you spoke the straight truth. Take the letter series Farmalls for example. Parts are readily available for all of them, and your average guy can work on them if he has the proper tools, etc. But take a brand new New Holland. I looked at one about two months ago out of curosity. Entire hood, fenders, grill, etc. was fiberglass, with no grillguard! And don't even go into the electronics or hydraulics. Even if this tractor was physically as tough as an older tractor, who could afford to have work done on it 15 years from now with all the computer hardware on them now? Heck, who could work on one 15 years from now, with the exception of the dealer. Hmmm, maybe that's what there shootin' for?
