Can you put PS on an MW live pump?

Here is what I am thinking about doing. Tell me if it will work. My cousin has an M for sale. He also has an M&W live hydraulic pump, but no valves or anything, just the pump. I know a guy with an M he is parting out, and it has power steering and a hydrualic remote rigged up to work off the belly pump. Can I just plumb it to the live pump? How big of a resevoir will I need? What type of fluid?
