Al, I found that whole procedure for setting the clips to be one of the better sets of instructions in the manuals. Just have to follow them, and look things over a little before starting in! The aim, I guess, is to make sure the normal, no load, throw of the control rods doesn't ever leave you with high pressure. If you find, after setting the control clips, that you don't have the full throw on either of the levers up top, then you can adjust the turnbuckle at the top end of the rods. A beautifully simple rig, and setting it up makes a nice hour or so of fiddlin'! Scotty
