Geez, I've got John Deeres('48 A and '48 GW) and a '49 Farmall M. And I'm lookin' for a Farmall H to get next. After that I'd like to get a Massey 44 then an Allis WD and a Moline U. To me, they're all great American machines. I grew up in a "Farmall Family" but there were other makes in the area and I liked the tractors with real character and guts regardless of their color. My Grand-dad had a Rumely type S 30-60 Oil Pull, I liked that too, but man, it was hard to crank and that's about all I ever got to do with it.

Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights. The garden was already sprouting when we hooked up the mid-mount shovel cultivators to the Pony.
