Another good photo JD. Those were great old trucks. The old mechanical 250-300 hp would hang right in with the new 350-400 hp be it Cummins, Cat or Detroit. I took a new Western Star on road in 89, one of the last mechanical injection, a 300hp 3306 Cat. I drove that for four years as a tandem truck. After I left the company put a trailer behind the Star. Owner told me in 96 it would give the two new 425 hp Stars they had a run for it. The new ones were one Cat and one Cummins.
