there was a man in indiana i think his name is harry who was very good with the old regulars. he even built a prototype of the regular. the origional farmall like every other machine, went thru development stages. i found a 1926 near where i live and there were several differences between it and later farmalls. some of the differences i can remember were, 12 spoke front wheels, round governor box instead of the square governor used on later farmalls and f-20s, open shaft carbureator linkage. the shaft in later farmalls was completely enclosed. if you want to restore it to what it origionally looked like then i'd get some archive photo books. black and white photos taken of the tractors when they were new by the company, i'd get a parts book as a reference and carry it with me when i went shopping at antique shows. shop for the most likely magneto that was used on that tractor when it was new. keep asking for advice, here and other places you will find as you progress-----
