C 3-point hitch

Just purchased a Saginaw 3 point for my C. Have it mounted but haven't bought the hoses yet. This is a good, heavy hitch that would probably work on a H or M. Saw a question the other day regarding possible damage to the axle castings on an H with a three point and a heavy load. The response was it was no problem. However, the rear axle castings on a C are much smaller. This hitch will undoubtably support more than the C will lift. Does anybody think the castings might crack? Or should the hitch be braced to the tractor better?
