Congratulations!
You are now restoring a fairly uncommon
McCormick-Deering. Approximately 6700 gas or
kerosene versions were built. If the cast wheels
are original the tractor was shipped with rubber
instead of steel wheels. Hopefully the engine is
not needing much work.FBB parts are harder to come
by. "Pappy" Vance in Hannibal,MO has worked on
IH trucks since time began, and should be able to
help with engine parts. WK-40's use the same engine as early trucks. Tom Underwood in Lawrence,
Kansas is a good place to start for anything else
you might need. If he can't get it, he generally
knows who might. Does the tractor have 3 or 4 speeds? As for the correct color, check the serial
number. Early ones are gray, later ones are red.
Good luck and e-mail me with any more questions.
Eugene

"Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this ... [Read Article]
